Crime has seized to abate in Nigeria’s federal capital Of Abuja in spite of the effort of security agencies to tackle it head-long.
The crime rate has brought casualties to these security agencies as the FCT police command confirm the death of a police officer following an attack on Hilltop International Premium Hotel Tunga-Maje in the Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
The Command’s public Relations officer Josephine Adeh who confirmed the attack said several other person’s were also injured
Adeh said the suspected kidnappers were carrying out their operations when police operatives on duty foiled their attack and engaged them in a gun battle which Unfortunately, led to the death of one of the men and other persons injured.
It was also gathered that three persons who lodged in the hotel were injured while another was hit by a stray bullet
In June 2021, bandits invaded the same hotel, abducted a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Friday Makama, the owner of the Hotel and eight others.
This is coming few days after a woman and her eight months baby were abducted in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
