Authorities in Bauchi State, North West Nigeria, Have closed Down About 35 Boarding Schools in a bid to address insecurity in the feo-political Zone
A circular released by the Bauchi State Ministry of Education says the decision to scrap the schools follows an approval by the state’s Executive Council.
According to the circular schools in Bogoro, Liman katagum, Duguri, Burra, and Dambam are to be maintained their boarding status, including eight girls boarding secondary schools.
According to the statement, it is an effort by the Bauchi State Government to make education more accessible to its people.
Approval has been given for the immediate transfer of the affected students to other schools.
