
A toddler and four Other persons have been burnt beyond recognition in a Kerosene surface tank explosion in Kubwa Satellite Town in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
Eyewitnesses account say the explosion occured on Friday evening distroying properties and injuring several other persons
The FCT Police Command which has also confirmed the incident says the fire has been brought under control and its officers and men deployed to the scene to prevent hoodlums from taking advantage of the inferno to cause more damage in the area.
Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh says the explosion occured in Kubwa Village Market opposite the kubwa main market.
A similar fire incident also occured in Mpape also in Bwari Area Council of the FCT where over three containers with goods worth millions of Naira were completely burnt down.
Taheed Yakubu, Public Relations Officer of the FCT Fire Service, while confirming the Mpape incident, says the cause of the fire is yet be ascertained and there are however no casualty recorded.
