Suspects who Buried a Kidnapped Noble Kids School Student

The Kano state government has ordered the immediate closure of a private school, Noble Kids Academy, at Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa Local Government Area, where the body of an abducted girl, Hanifa Abubakar was buried by the suspects.

Saidu Kiru, The State Commissioner for Education, announced the closure order after police preliminary investigation uncovered the corpse of the victim buried in the private school.

The Police Commissioner said apart from the closure of the school, the state government would commence full investigation of unregistered private schools and teachers to check such criminal activities.

Earlier,Operatives of the Nigeria Police in Kano arrested two suspects in connection to the kidnapping and killing of a five year old girl Hanifa Abubakar.

The male suspects Abdulmalik Tanko, aged 30 and one Hashim Isyaku, aged 37 had in December 2021 kidnapped the child in Dakata quarters, Nassarawa local governement area of kano state and demanded for a ransom of six million naira.

In a press release by the kano state police public relations officer SP Haruna Kiyawa through Sustained efforts and prolonged follow โ€“ up the suspects were arrested by a detective team of the Department of State Service (DSS) Kano State.

On investigation, Abdulmalik confessed that, the victim, Hanifa is his student at a private school in Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.

He kidnapped her and took her to his house where he contacted her relatives and demanded a ransom of Six Million Naira (N6,000,000.00).

Having realized that, the victim recognized him, he claimed to have poisoned her to death, and conspired with one Hashim Isyaku, to buried her in a shallow grave located at the private school premises located at Kwanar โ€˜Yan Gana, Tudun Murtala Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.

The suspects led a combine Team of Operatives of DSS Kano State, Kano State Police Commandโ€™s Medical Team and Team of Operation Puff Adder to the scene.

The body was exhumed and rushed to Mohammed Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital Kano, examined, confirmed dead by a Medical Doctor and release to the relatives for burial according to Islamic Rites.

The Case is being charged to court upon completion of investigation.
